As we move on to the New Year, we propagate the upside of sustainable living and thus put the spotlight on an e-bike, Leaos that is light, innovative in technology, and to add to it, designed and hand-made in Italy.

Armin Oberhollenzer founded Leaos in 2012 with the aim of creating a new urban-mobility segment that offers “style-oriented people a flexible, emotionally appealing and sustainable means of transportation in the city”. He brought the Leaos project to fruition in collaboration with Italian industrial designer Francesco Sommacal and a carbon specialist from Formula 3. Leaos Pure, the first product designed by the team is already in its third season. Innovation and technological advancement is indeed, the core mission value of the team.

Leaos has aims of not only providing a means of transportation but also to show a way of life, and fun with a two-wheeled form of locomotion, proclaim the company ideators.

The new edition of the Pressed Bike, First Single Speed Bike with the removable battery was also presented last year at the Eurobike. Designed by Harry Thaler, it is pressed from two aluminium halves and industrialised according to industry specifics.

“We are a young company that enthusiastically creates design e-bikes. All of our products are 100% handmade with great attention to detail. Customisability and uniqueness are very important to us. We are continually evolving, technically as well as visually. There is a wide variety of ways to personalize the Leaos Luxury E-Bike, for example with wood. A solar bike that is completely independent of classic power sources is also in the works,” says Armin.

With a vision to change and shape urban mobility, Leaos, was first in the world to generate in the biking world what has always been common in the automotive industry: technology and design as one entity. The design is classic, with an edge of retro and stands out from the rest of the competitors in its simplicity.

The bike offers innovative technology such as the complete connectivity of Sitael with GPS theft protection, diagnostics and standalone APP. The result is an agile bike with a powerful engine, a very low weight and an outstanding design. Colours, accessories and special solutions are offered for an e-bike owner via a configurator, which will be launched soon, according to the owners.
